The UK-MENA Network was founded by a group of students from the universities of Oxford, LSE and King’s College London, following a trip they organised to the Kingdom of Bahrain on behalf of their respective university societies: Oxford Diplomacy Society (University of Oxford), King’s Foreign Policy and Security Society (King’s College London), and the Grimeshaw Society (LSE). Their intention was to build an organisation that would help foster greater understanding, humility and dialogue between British students and young professionals and their counterparts in the region.
